Hello
Lisa Mulhall is a Generally Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a full Member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Lisa believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to be heard and to receive compassionate professional support. Her interest areas are treating Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Grief, Adjustment and Loss, Perinatal Mental Health issues, Mood Disorders and Trauma. She supports adults across the lifespan through all of life's changes and challenges.
Her Story
Lisa has over 20 years of experience and currently offers individual therapy and counselling services for people aged 18 years and over via Telehealth.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) in 2001, and a Post Graduate Diploma (Applied Psychology) in 2002 at the University of Wollongong.

She started her career working in occupational rehabilitation supporting injured workers in their recovery after a work place injury. Since then she has supported people all over Australia working on national phone helplines such as Beyond Blue, especially those in rural and remote areas.

Lisa has spent over 15 years working in Mental Health Acute Care in the NSW public hospital system. She has supported adults across the lifespan with a variety of presentations everything from psychosis, schizophrenia, personality and mood disorders, depression, anxiety, perinatal mental health, adjustment disorders and grief.
Through this work Lisa also supported those suffering PTSD and had the opportunity to work alongside doctors, nurses, police officers and ambulance staff, which gave her an appreciation of the impact of vicarious trauma and the lived experience of first responders and other front-line workers.

Lisa enjoys working with people to help them live a full and productive life, to learn how to cope with stress and recover from trauma.

Lisa draws from a variety of techniques and strategies such as DBT, ACT, CBT, mindfulness, solution focussed strategies and motivational interviewing.
She particularly enjoys working in different modalities and using technology such as heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback and using EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback), a featured treatment that is clinic based so will be offered in the future for Sydney-based clients.
She is currently undergoing training in EMDR therapy to support people suffering trauma. Lisa is currently accredited to support those going through Workers Compensation.

In her spare time she enjoys walking (sometimes carrying) her stubborn Pug, navigating the joys/challenges of raising a teen and a tween, occasionally dragging her husband and kids on a family bike ride or just a quiet coffee listening to an audiobook with noise cancelling headphones on.
